Finca Las Alasitas in owned and operated by the Rodríguez family and over the last few years the family has established one of the best coffee nursery programmes we have seen. As there is no coffee federation in Bolivia, the family has had to look elsewhere for new seedstock and advice on planting in their regions with their local conditions. The family runs their large nursery in Samaipata which has some sixty cultivars growing. At Las Alasitas, the family concentrate on the varietals that grow best in the local area, these include Caturra, Java, and Gesha.
